PACKING AND BAGGAGE

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

Experienced travelers agree: take as little as possible. Nothing ruins traveling abroad more than having too much luggage, especially when you have to carry it yourself. Try to organize and pack a day or two prior to departure so that you can judge if you'll be able to carry your bags comfortably. You can save packing space by coordinating your clothing so that shirts and sweaters can be worn with different skirts or pants.

What are the baggage limits?
Check with your airline regarding baggage limitations.

PRESCRIPTIONS

If you take prescription drugs, ask your doctor to give you a copy of the prescription with the name of the generic drug, not a brand name, as your brand may not be available in the country to which you are traveling.

ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

If you plan to bring electrical gadgets such as CD players, electric shavers, or radios, check to see if you'll need a voltage converter in the country to which you are traveling. Information on the electrical systems in use in most countries of the world is available online.
